Sweetheart
In this body of work, I intend to capture how society objectifies women. Women are constantly over-sexualized in their daily lives. Viewer’s use age, clothing, and body language to draw conclusions. In this work, we become onlookers to these women’s’ experience, bringing attention to how we as individuals view women. I generally tried to capture these women doing everyday tasks with little instruction from me to achieve a more natural feel. This is to reflect how openly others feel they can take in women’s bodies for display for their own pleasure. My influences are Cindy Sherman and Laurie Simmons in the way they capture the feminine form.
